About Us
Daniel, a teenager in Georgia, has autism. Like most autistic people (and even most people), Daniel likes to think about only a few things, and one of them being movies and cartoons. So, it was no real accident when a friend of the family saw some cartoon characters that Daniel drew and suggesting putting them on a shirt.
The goal was to make lemons out of lemonade: the sale of shirts would raise money for charities and Daniel would develop life skills by working in the business itself.
Four years and thousands of shirts later, the enterprise is alive and growing. We continue to donate money to charities, always beating the minimum goal of ten percent of gross profits. As a teenager, Daniel continues to learn a little more about business every year.
We make t-shirts that express that we are all special and have something great to share with the world. We also feel that being “who you are” also includes developing your potential. The ultimate dream is to continue making shirts, designing new ones, and one day, hopefully, employing special needs people in ways that helps them develop.
Get a shirt and be proud to b-who-u-r!
